How To Get Removed From The AHBL

Getting removed from the AHBL isn't a difficult matter - provided you have actually taken care of the problem in question, and contact us in the proper manner.  Following the instructions below will help you.

1. Go to the Lookup Page and put in your IP address or domain name that is currently being blocked.

2. Read the reason why you are being blocked and figure out how to take care of the problem.  For example, if you are listed as being an Open Proxy, check your machine for a virus or trojan, and make sure it is not infected.  If you were listed as a Spam Source, terminating the customer that is spamming is a good way to handle the problem.

3. Once you are done with solving the problem, and you are actually listed in our database, there will be a removal link that you can click on to request delisting.

Some hints for people requesting removals...

  • Don't lie to us, as we have heard it all before.

  • Don't try to move the spammer to another netblock, as we will scan all of your IP blocks before delisting to ensure you are actually terminating the customer
  • .
  • Don't make legal threats, or even insinuate threats against us. It will not help you, and will get you a more permanent listing that you can't get removed easily.
